Lactase Drops are proven effective: 7 drops is enough to reduce lactose in 1 pint of milk over 24 hours.

Add 7 drops per pint of milk, refrigerate for 24 hours. If symptoms persist, refrigerate 48 hours or add more drops. Alternatively, add 7 drops directly to milk or dairy before consuming, or use as directed by your health care professional.
